About Us
Mailroom Pros is a female-owned small business, located just off of Highway 58 in Chattanooga, TN. Our mission is to help our clients create efficiencies and cost savings through a suite of mailroom services delivered by our mailroom professionals. We service a variety of clients in various industries including hospital, banking, and insurance.
We are a member of the National Association of Presort Mailers (NAPM) and have a great relationship with our Business Mail Entry Unit (BMEU) partners at Chattanooga’s US Postal Service General Mail Facility. We are Chattanooga's only USPS®-certified full-service mailer.

How does Mailroom Pros make money?
We receive a rebate from the US Postal Service for adding a barcode to mail pieces and sorting the mail into areas designated by the US Postal Service. Our services reduce the amount of work the Post Office must perform to distribute the mail to its final destination. Mailroom Pros shares a portion of our discount with our clients; it’s a win/win for everyone.
Our Process
A courier will pick up your mail at a designated time from your designated pick-up point within your office. The mail is transported to our highly secure premises for processing. Mail is processed via address reading equipment that assigns a barcode and sorts the mail piece. Letter mail will be sorted to the lowest zip code qualification level when merged with mail from other clients. During this step, we ensure that postal requirements for move address updates are met.
On occasion, a mail piece is unable to be read by the equipment. These are mail pieces that would also be returned via the US Postal Service as undeliverable. If our equipment cannot read the address, the mail piece will be returned to the client via the courier at the next scheduled pickup.
Following the sorting process, mail is containerized into US Postal Service mailing equipment, labeled, and scanned into the US Postal Service manifest system. The mail is then transported to the US Postal Service General Mail Facility located on Shallowford Road. From there, it is transferred to the custody of the US Postal Service and entered into the US Postal Service mail stream for distribution.
Clients may notice that mail is delivered more quickly as a result of our services. This is because our sorting process expedites handling of the mail piece within the US Postal Service. Fewer touchpoints means faster delivery. It’s that simple!
